ICT Infrastruture deployment at Kano University of Science & Technology (KUST)
Problem Statement
To enhance existing infrastructure and provide non-existing ICT-driven services to the institution and it's learning community.
Our Solution
Following efforts made by KUST towards enhancing it's services, we were engaged to deploy several technology implementation inclusive of:
• Establishing campus-wide wireless cloud and Internet infrastructure.
• Equipping of a 300-capacity Computer Based Testing (CBT) Hall with appropriate technology (computer systems and CBT application) which digitized the current OMR mode of testing.
• The deployment of learning-support infrastructure and equipment in lecture halls aimed at enhancing the mode of teaching and learning in the university.
• Empowering the security coverage within and around the university premises with cutting-edge surveillance systems.
• Provision of a dynamic website; a source for all information about the university as well as hub to all other web-based services provided by the institution. (www.kustwudil.edu.ng)
• Establishing campus-wide wireless cloud and Internet infrastructure.
• This solution has been completely deployed and our post-implementation survey returned outstanding feedback from students, faculty and the university community.
Truly, learning has been significantly revolutionized at KUST.
